Challenger and Charger Widebody To Take On Pikes Peak

The annual Pikes Peak Hill Climb is right around the the corner and Dodge just announced that the 2020 Charger Widebody will enter the International race on June 30th. The car is based on the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and was first shown in March at the Spring Fest Mopar event in California.
A few modifications were made to prepare the car for the legendary climb. Included was a customized engine calibrated to maintain performance in the thin air close to the summit. The race starts at 9,390 feet and finishes at 14,115. The engine is a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 producing 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. But the Charger won’t be the only wide-body facing the peak this year. It will be joined by a Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. More to come after the climb this week so stay tuned.
