Corvette Celebrates 65 Years With Carbon 65 Edition

Turns out, the Corvette has a birthday coming up. The car is about to hit the old age of 65, but shows no signs of retiring any time soon. To commemorate the Corvette’s anniversary, Chevrolet has revealed a new Corvette Carbon 65 Edition package available for the 2018 Grand Sport SlT and Z06 3LZ models. Only 650 models are planned for production worldwide (this kind of exclusivity is expected for a special anniversary edition).

So, what’s so special about this birthday package? The carbon fiber exterior upgrades applied to the front and rear spoiler, side sills and quarter ducts, and a beautiful Ceramic Matrix Gray paint job with gloss black wheels. Other exterior changes include fender stripes and door graphics. The interior gets a few bells and whistles as well. The cabin is wrapped in a jet black suede finish with a carbon-fiber-rimmed steering wheel and gloss carbon-fiber interior trim, as well as Competition Sport seats. Some general equipment upgrades will include an HD radio, an improved rear-view camera, an optional Performance Data Recorder and a Spice red convertible top option. The Corvette Carbon 65 Edition will be available this summer with the rest of the 2018 Corvette lineup for just $15,000.
