GM Gives Sneak Peak of Super Bowl Ad With Will Ferrell

The Super Bowl this year will be different for a number of reasons, thanks to the ongoing pandemic. In addition to no fans and, most likely, a new format for the halftime show, some brands have opted to sit out of advertising during the game. Of course, some companies are still on board, General Motors being one. GM has recruited the legendary actor and comedian Will Ferrell to star in their slot this year, and in a few short teasers they’ve released, he seems to have a problem with Norway, of all places. Good news for us, CarBuzz has combined the clips into one single video, so we can watch the protagonists displeasure with all of the Olafs, skiing, and year-round sweater-weather found in the country.

We imagine that GM will provide the reason for Ferrell’s anger this Sunday night with a longer, more explanatory commercial. Could it have to do with the countries love of electric vehicles? Last year, a total of 54 percent of all new cars sold there were EVs, up from 42 percent in 2019. Guess we’ll have to wait a few more days to find out. Stay tuned.
