Heading To Auction: Original 1970 Plymouth Superbird

Now here’s a muscle car you don’t see every day. A Plymouth Superbird. The kicker? It’s all original. And it’s headed to to the Mecum Houston auction this weekend. Under the hood is a 440-cubic inch 390-horsepower V-8 with a 4-speed manual transmission. And with just 66,000 miles on it, this blue bird is destined to be the star of the show. But wait, there’s more. It’s also extremely rare. This Superbird happens to be one of just 308 ever built, with an original fender tag to prove it.

Other noteworthy rides rolling onto the auction block include a 2005 Ford GT with 2.6 miles on it, a 1992 Dodge Viper RT/10 Roadster with less than 6,000 miles, and a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible. Mecum Houston opens today and runs through April 7th.
