Is The Mustang Mach-E GT The Quickest SUV In The World?
The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT has sports car-like elements and “accelerates faster than anything in its class.” At least that’s the new claim made by the automaker after they shared the acceleration times for the model after it made its debut in the European market.
The dual-motor Mach-E GT sends power to all-fours, and thanks to the 459-horsepower, goes from 0-62 in a whopping 3.7 seconds before tapping out at 124 mph. And considering the 612 lb-ft of torque, the Mach-E GT is one of the quickest SUVs in the world, beating out power houses like the Porsche Macan Turbo. Oh, did we mention it’s beautiful? Porsche SUVs, Maserati SUVs, now a Mustang SUV. Thank goodness Duesenberg and Isotta Fraschini did not survive into the modern era so that the memory of those grand marques will never be profaned by creative marketing hot shots of the 21st Century.
