RECALLED: 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

The Demon has been in the spotlight for quite some time. Really, since it was introduced as a concept, mainly due to its incredible performance and specifications. But this time around, the Demon is in the spotlight because of a recall. Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles plans to recall specific Demons due to a cruise control defect. Specifically, owners may be unable to deactivate cruise control, which increases the chances of an accident.

FCA reported that a possible defect in the powertrain control module could trigger a short circuit within the wiring. As a result, the driver would not be able to switch from cruise control to normal control, or cancel cruise by pressing on the brake. Included in the recall is other Challenger, Charger, and Chrysler 300 models. As is typical with recalls, the defect will be updated and replaced free of charge for owners.
