The Pickup Truck Drag Race You’ve Been Waiting For

On this fine Monday we’re bringing you a truck battle you might not have known you needed. The Ram 1500 TRX debuted last month and the truck scene was shaken up by its much-anticipated arrival. The Hellcat-powered performance pickup produces a whopping 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Testing has revealed that its 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine (the same engine as the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk) enables the TRX to get from 0-62 in just 3.9 seconds.

Its main competitor, the Ford F-150 Raptor comes packed with a 3.4-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 450-hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. And while that may seem tame comparatively, we never advise underestimating the Blue Oval.
