The Shelby GT500-Powered F-150 Raptor

Could Ford be countering Ram’s 1500 Rebel TRX with an insane F-150? Car and Driver reported that the Blue Oval is working on an F-150 Raptor powered by the same engine as the 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500. Just so we’re clear, that engine is a 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 with over 700 horses.

Ford will launch this Raptor either late 2020 or early 2021. Conveniently, around the time Ram’s Rebel TRX will debut. The TRX is expected to pack the same 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 found in the Fiat Chrysler Hellcat engine. No other details are known at this point. But as always, stay tuned for more.
