Today We Celebrate National Mustang Day

..As if we don’t celebrate everyone’s favorite sports car all the other days of the year! The blue oval takes the cake for the third year in a row. Crowned the top-selling sports coupe in the world, the Ford Mustang rolled into 125,809 new homes this year across 146 countries. According to IHS Markit global light vehicle registration data, the United States is responsible for more than 80,000 sales.

“Mustang represents the best of American design, performance, and freedom, with an unmistakable personality that appeals – regardless of your postcode,” says Erich Merkle, Ford sales analyst. Customers are continuing to opt for the Mustang GT and its 5.0-liter V8 over the 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder. Since Ford began selling Mustangs globally in 2015, the automaker has sold over 400k ‘Stangs around the globe. Interested in buying one for yourself? The 2018 Mustang starts at $26,485 and the Mustang GT will cost you at least $35,995. Enjoy. Oh, and Happy National Mustang Day.
