Owen Magnetic was a pioneer of American hybrid electric luxury automobiles. Manufactured between 1915 and 1922, the brand was known for the use of an electromagnetic transmission and early adoption of electric series hybrid drivetrain. On this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, our host introduces us to a 1916 Hybrid Owen Magnetic. The blue beauty is one of only a dozen or so in the country, which makes it as rare as it is classic.
