Ford GT: Five Decades of Fast

The Ford GT is one of the most iconic (and best looking) American sports cars ever made. After a failed merger with Ferrari, Henry Ford II directed Ford Advanced Vehicles to find a partner to produce a Ferrari-beating Le Mans car. After some tough-going in the early days, Carroll Shelby was brought in to produce what would become the 4-time consecutive Le Mans champion Ford GT40.
