Flashback Friday: The Nickey Chevrolet Camaro
Today we’re flashing back to a better time of Camaro and other cars that made their decade. This is the Nickey Chevrolet Camaro or, the wildest Camaro ever. Fitted with Chevy’s L72 427, this ride rocked 435 horsepower (at a cost of a mere 90 extra pounds on the big-block). To offset the extra weight, the cast-iron exhaust manifolds could be swapped for a set of Bill Thomas-designed headers. Hot Rod said it best “In street trim the Camaro is a wild, going concern and on the strip it will keep you right in the thick of the competition.” So head into the weekend with daydreams of the Nickey Camaro:
