This Ford Mach 40 Took 11,000 Hours To Build
What happens when you combine a classic muscle car and a modern supercar? Only good things. Restoration shop Eckert’s Rod & Custom spent three years building this masterpiece that combines a vintage Mustang and a first-generation GT. The result? The Mach 40, and it’s pretty badass.
Some noteworthy specs:
- The car is based on a beaten-up 1969 Mustang Mach 1
- A new extended chassis accommodates a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 from a 2006 Ford GT
- A clamshell rear deck was created with a new suspension set up
- Updated cooling system
- Retro-inspired interior design
- Total hp of 850
