Record-Setting McLaren: Watch this Spider Do a 1/4 Mile in 8.99 Seconds

Today we’re bringing you a seriously quick supercar. The McLaren 765LT Spider is one of the fastest cars money can buy. The weight (or lack thereof) combined with the 755-horsepower twin-turbo V8 makes it able to hit 60 mph in just 2.7 seconds. That’s insanely fast, but we all know supercar owners, always needing more (and who can blame them?)

AntiochExotics is the group behind the car, and recently posted the ride finishing a quarter-mile run in 9.22 seconds, hitting a top speed of 156.19 mph. After a few more attempts, the twin-turbocharged V8 gave everything it had to get under the 9 second mark and set a new quarter-mile record for the 765LT Spider at 8.991 seconds with a top speed of 158.45 mph.
