Ford F-350 Super Duty vs. F-150 Limited
The Ford F-150 has long been known as America’s favorite truck. But let’s talk about the price jumps. It’s amazing how expensive the F-150 has become. For example, the Ford F-150 Limited has a base price of $59,600. Nearly fully loaded, you’re looking at a price tag over $68,000. Insane, right? This got us thinking that it’s possible its big brother, the F-350 Super Duty might be the better overall value.
Our friends over at CarBuzz took a look at a 2017 F-350 Super Duty, and were impressed for a few reasons. First off, the tester came powered by the optional 6.7 liter Power Stroke Turbo diesel V8 with a total of 440 hp and 925 lb-ft of torque. Yep, you heard us right. 925 lb-ft of twist. Along with the fifth wheel, this F-350 had a maximum towing capacity of 21,000 lbs. and a maximum payload of 6,540 lbs.
The interior comes with an 8-inch touchscreen with Sync 3, dual zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and more than enough room for a few humans and then some. This particular tester stickered for $68,115. Which is the same as the F-150 Platinum, but not nearly as badass.
