Ford Focus RS vs. Toyota GT86
Well, well, well. What do we have here? An all-wheel drive hatch challenging Toyota’s first rear-wheel drive sports coupe in ages. The Japanese car being challenged is fit with skinny low-grip tires and a driveshaft down the GT86’s sagittal plane, allowing the 205 horsepower boxer-four to hit some serious drifts. Knowing all of this, we would usually tell the Focus to take a hike. But, the RS has a trick up its sleeve. The name of said trick? “Drift mode.” Shocking, we know. Question is, how effective is it against the tried and true method of sending power to the rear. Let’s find out, right here:
