Is Ford Cancelling The Next-Gen Edge?

It’s always sad to see a solid plan for a car never see production. But, with the new Bronco and Bronco Sport, is there a need for the Edge? Ford doesn’t seem to think so. The Edge is in between the compact Escape and the three-row Explorer in the Blue Oval’s lineup, but with the edition of the Broncos and the Mustang Mach-E, why produce the Edge?
