On The Auction Block: Original Chevrolet Camaro ZL1
Today we’re bringing you a track-focused legendary muscle car that also happens to be extremely rare. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is one of only 69 examples ever made. The cars 427 cubic inch V-8 engine produces over 500hp, and as a result was barely street legal back in its day. Instead, the car spent time tearing up the drag strip and quickly became the first true rival to the Mustang. This silver beauty is the fourth Camaro ZL1 ever to roll off the production line and will be offered up at Mecum’s Chicago auction. There’s no selling price, but we can make an educated guess that it’ll go for somewhere around half a million dollars. See it for yourself, right here.
