On The Auction Block: The First Ford Mustang Coupe
The first hard-top ‘Stang is up for grabs. The classic muscle car will be put up for auction at Barrett-Jackson’s annual sale in Scottsdale, Arizona from January 12-20, 2019. The 1965 Mustang coupe came after the 1965 convertible model and currently lives in The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan.
Under the hood is a 170-cubic inch inline-6 with a three-speed manual transmission. The current owner, Bob Fria, has previously put the car up for auction. 2 Years ago the final bid came in at $300,000, but Bob decided to hold onto the car. Maybe this time around he’ll receive a bid worthy of this beauty. See it for yourself, right here.
