Henrik Fisker AKA the man behind the Aston Martin DB9, BMW Z8 and his own Karma has taken a stab at Mustang design. This is the Galpin-Fisker Rocket, a 725-hp, carbon-fiber-bodied Mustang and it speaks for itself. So thank you, Fisker for a modern take on the beloved 1960s Ford model.
You might want to grab your headphones for this one, folks. Hennessey’s HPE850 supercharged upgrade fits perfectly in the Ford Mustang GT350 and GT350R. It delivers incredible acceleration and a mean roar, which is great for car lovers, but not so great for your neighborhood noise complaints. Check out the video below courtesy of Hennessey, and check out the upgrade yourself, and witness American horsepower at work.
The Buick Y-Job was created under the direction of Harley Earl. The car debuted in 1938 and even though it was way before its time in terms of styling and technology, the concept made a huge impact on that market, showing the public what the car could be. Even though the car was so advanced (much of it was aircraft-inspired), it was surprisingly practical for everyday driving. In fact, Harley Earl drove it himself for some time.
In this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, Earl’s successor and GM’s current design boss, Michael Simcoe road shotgun when Leno took it for a spin. Seems like Leno and Simcoe didn’t venture onto public roads, but this ride is an absolute classic, and we love it. Enjoy.
Jay Leno was contacted by a World War II veteran with a mission to get his car to the right forever home. After some thought, Jay decided the car belonged in the garage, and the 1957 Cadillac Coupe de Ville joined the rest of Leno’s collection and began the restoration process. Check out this very special episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, you won’t want to miss it.
This episode of Jay Leno’s Garage features an oldie but goodie. Mr. Leno gets to test a 1955 Chevy Belair two-door Coupe with updated styling cues and way more power than the first generation. Chevy offered a V8 engine in these models (cranking out 162 hp or 180 hp with the Power Pack), paired with either a two-speed automatic or three-speed Synchro-Mesh manual.
This particular Belair belongs to Gary Kollofski and packs an all-aluminum cu in HEMI-headed V12 engine made in Italy by BPM. That’s 12 liters, by the way. Check out the episode below for more.
