Classic and Modern: The Ford Mach 40

What happens when you combine a classic muscle car and a modern supercar? Only good things. Restoration shop Eckert’s Rod & Custom spent three years building this masterpiece that combines a vintage Mustang and a first-generation GT. The result? The Mach 40, and it’s pretty badass.

Some noteworthy specs:

  • The car is based on a beaten-up 1969 Mustang Mach 1
  • A new extended chassis accommodates a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 from a 2006 Ford GT
  • A clamshell rear deck was created with a new suspension set up
  • Updated cooling system
  • Retro-inspired interior design
  • Total hp of 850

Supercharged V8-Powered Chevy Colorado

The General Motors supercharged LT4 small-block V8 package is nuts. It produces 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque through the likes of the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 as well as the third-generation Cadillac CTS-V. More recently, the engine has been dropped into a mid-size off-road truck known as the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. And let us just tell you, it’s quite the combo. Check it out, right here.
