Semi-Autonomous Corvette Makes History
Sam Schmidt had his whole career ahead of him in the late 1990s when a tragic accident left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. Amazingly, the driver still gets behind the wheel. That’s largely thanks to Arrow Electronics and experts in aeronautics systems, flight systems, flight medicine, and spinal injury medicine. Back in 2013, They collaborated to modify a regular production Corvette into something that could be driven using only head movements. The result is a 2014 Corvette Stingray called SAM – “Semi-Autonomous Motorcar.” Check it out, right here.
