The Ford Maverick Grabber: A “Jazzy Firecracker”

The Ford Maverick Grabber is one of those obscure muscle cars. Can we even consider it a muscle car? Or does it strike you as something else? Today we’re recognizing the Maverick Grabber simply for what it is – a cool car. Released in 1971, this Ford had the right look without all the weight beared by the competition. That weight (or lack there of) was the Grabber’s ticket to some added speed and the Ford 302 CID V-8 didn’t hurt either. Arguably the best aspect of this car was the aesthetic. The advertising read: “It’s not a superbomb, it’s more of jazzy firecracker.” So there you have it.
