The Mopar Original Dodge Charger
The SEMA teasers just keep pouring in, and we can’t get enough. Today we’re bringing you a Mopar teaser of a big-power original Dodge Charger. The video shows huge paw prints that we can gather represent the elephant. If you recall, Chrysler’s 426-cubic inch V-8 Hemi earned the name of “elephant engine” back in 1964. The famed Hemi left the market in 1971 but was modernized in a 2012 Dodge Charger concept. We’re thinking that Mopar has a new 426 Hemi V-8 in store for the upcoming SEMA show next week. Should this be true, the elephant engine will have some competition. Specifically, the Chevy 6.2-liter LT5 supercharged V-8 crate engine, the same engine that powers the 755-horsepower Chevy Corvette ZR1.
Good new is, we don’t have to wait long to find out what Mopar has in store. We’ll keep you updated as the show kicks off next week. Until then, enjoy.
