Watch An Autonomous Mustang Attempt The Goodwood Hillclimb
A few autonomous rides entered the famous hillclimb this year. Among those was this 1965 Ford Mustang. Unfortunately, it didn’t exactly go as planned. The car was developed in collaboration with Siemens and Cranfield University and uses only GPS signals instead of advanced radars to assist the autonomous technology. This might be an explanation for why the ‘Stang struggled to navigate the track on its own and swerved off course several times (one time into a few hay bales). Watch for yourself, right here.
