What a great way to ring in the new year.. with Jay Leno and a classic muscle car. The 1970 Plymouth Superbird is both iconic and rare as far as muscle cars go. Sure, by today’s standards you might compare it to a small boat, but it was absolutely state of the art in its time. In this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, the Superbird stops by with its owner, Jeff Dunham. Jeff says that the car was not popular when it first went on sale because it was so different than anything else on the market. Obviously things have changed, considering that these Superbirds are in high demand. The Superbird was actually a barn find by Dunham. But what makes this muscle car so special?
