Bike Design: The 138 mph Sunn

Winter may be over but for stuntman Éric Barone’s ride, snow is always necessary. Barone hits the slopes at 138 mph thanks to his revamped Sunn bike. The base for this unique speed cycle is low, long and flat – almost like a chopper motorcycle. To reduce friction, Hutchinson stock tires were pumped up to four bars of pressure lifting the rubber off the snow. With a thin front fork, wind resistance is at a minimum so Barone can fly.
