The Mustang and Camaro Get Price Adjustments
The 2019 Ford Mustang arrived in dealerships just a month ago, but the automaker has already increased its price. Don’t worry though, it’s nothing severe. According to Cars Direct, Ford has increased the destination charge by $95 for all trim levels, rising from $900 to $995. Other Mustangs get a rise in price as well. Every car that is powered by the 310-horsepower 2.3-liter turbo-4 jumps $275. The Bullitt and GT get no additional price increased beyond the destination charge.
And then you have Chevy, who has decreased the price of the 2019 Camaro by as much as $3,000. That changes the starting price of the LS to $25,995, $905 less than the 2018 model. Another change is that the LS will no longer be available with the 335-hp 3.6-liter V-6 engine; it now comes exclusively with Chevy’s 275-hp 2.0-liter turbo-4.
It’ll be interesting to see how the automakers pricing strategies impact sales. We’ll keep you updated on how they’re doing, and if more price adjustments come our way.
