An Inside Look At The 2005 Ford GT Design
We’d like to take you on a trip back to 2005 today. Back when the original Ford GT made history as one of the most legendary supercars of all time. In this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage, Camilo Pardo, the 2005 GT’s lead designer joins the host to cover the work that went into the cars design.
The car you see here belongs to Leno, and is the first production car that was built for a customer. The first 10 examples went to the Ford family, car 11 was auctioned off for charity, which leaves Leno with lucky number 12. Watch the episode below and hear about the ins and outs of the (somewhat) obscure, but ultimately iconic design. Enjoy.
