Behold, The New Chevy COPO Camaro
Chevrolet has revealed the 2018 COPO Camaro. Chevy does this annually, but this year, they did it a little differently. The COPO Camaro debuted alongside the 2018 Camaro Hot Whels 50th Anniversary Edition. The pair made their appearance at Hot Wheels headquarters in El Segundo, California. Both sets of wheels will be displayed at SEMA.
The 2018 COPO Camaro is a factory-built drag racer powered by a 302 small block V8, which is based on the LT1 offered in the Camaro SS. COPO Camaro buyers can also opt for a naturally aspirated 427 7.0-liter V8 or a supercharged 5.7-liter racing engine. This power house allows for a mid-8 second quarter mile time of around 160 mph. Regardless of what engine customers go with, all COPO Camaros are paired to a drag racing-specific three-speed automatic transmission. As for the Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary Edition, it’s a $4,995 optional package available on the Camaro 2LT and 2SS coupe and convertible. Check it out:
