The Corvette With Over 700,000 Miles Now Lives In A Museum
Last year, a man clocked over 700,000 miles in a C5 Chevrolet Corvette. Not only is this extremely impressive on the cars part, but it’s a true testament to how long a car can last if it’s properly maintained. The man behind the wheel? A Jacksonville, Florida resident and true Mustang lover. Mark Blackwell clocked 342,000 miles in his first Corvette. And because that wasn’t impressive enough, he thought he would do 773,338 in a brand new red C5 Corvette he got back in 1999. Let’s check our math on this one. To rack up that many miles, Blackwell would have to do around 43,000 miles per year and about 100 miles every day… for 18 years. Wow.
Blackwell has decided to donate his beloved C5 Corvette to the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky, where the ride will be given a well-deserved rest. Check out the video below to see this legend for yourself. Enjoy.
