Headed for Auction: James Bond’s 1969 Mercury Cougar
If you’re reading this write up, chances are you’re both a James Bond fan and a car buff. The movie franchise is famous for a number of reasons but our favorite is, of course, the cars. All types of rides have made it into the movies, including the Land Rover Range Rover, and all types of Aston Martins, including the Vantage and DB11. One of those rides has recently come up for sale – the 1969 Mercury Cougar XR-7 convertible. The price tag on this Candy Apple Red beauty is expected to reach around $200,000 when it heads to auction on December 16th.
The car was used on set for the 1969 movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service starring George Lazenby as Mr. Bond. Check it out, right here, and we’ll be sure to update you with who walks away with this treasure.
