How The 2020 Corvette Does 0-60 In Less Than 3 Seconds
By now you know all about the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette, the most anticipated new model launch in recent memory. The unveiling happened in Orange County, California and the coverage hasn’t stopped since.
Under the hood is a 6.2-liter V8 dubbed the LT2. The LT2 pumps out 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. To give you some perspective, that is 40 more hp and 10 more lb-ft than the C7. The power is sent through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox and with the Z51 Package installed, the car does 0-62 in less than three seconds. Woah. But the question remains, how exactly did Chevrolet make the C8 so much faster than its predecessor? Click the video below and Jason Fenske from Engineering Explained will walk you through it. Enjoy.
