On The Auction Block: Michael Anndretti’s Barely Used Dodge Demon
Michael Mario Andretti is a former auto racing driver and current team owner. As far as American open-wheel car racing goes, Andretti is one of the most successful drivers in history. The legend was recently gifted an 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. And instead of keeping it for himself, he’s sending the car (with just 13 miles on it) to be auctioned off by Mecum.
The yellow 2018 Demon is number 47 out of the 50 examples built for VIPs and company executives, according to the Mecum listing. It was specifically made for Andretti, which means the lucky bidder will get the Demon Crate package along with a few other noteworthy incentives:
- 13 miles on the odometer (did we mention that already?)
- 6.2-liter supercharged V-8
- ZF eight-speed transmission
Interested? The sale will run October 3rd through the 6th. Considering the recent price patterns for Demons on the auction block (about 40-50k over retail price), we don’t expect this ride to break the $200,000 mark.
