On the Drag: Cadillac Escalade vs. Camaro ZL1 1LE

So right off the bat you probably know that this isn’t about a stock Cadillac Escalade. And wherever ridiculously fast cars are going faster, you know Hennessey Performance isn’t too far away. In this video, a Camaro ZL1 is pitted against a Cadillac Escalade SUV tuned by the great (and possibly crazy) people of Hennessey. The shop offers a HPE800 package, which comes with a mighty 805 horsepower, doubling the power in the stock Escalade. But how? By attaching a high-flow 2.9L supercharger to the 6.2-liter V8 engine, and of course a few other upgrades sprinkled in there. The Hennessey Escalade goes 0-62 mph in 3.7 seconds and goes a quarter-mile in 11.7 at 116 mph.
