SEMA Spotlight: The Kosmic Outcast
We could all use a little more mod in our lives and this ’40 Ford is here to give it to us. They call it Kosmic Outcast (how appropriate) and was displayed at SEMA back in 2014. This may not be your typical Ford but the lime green paint job definitely screams “tough.” The product is a ‘60s show rod style complete with Pontiac rear quarter panels from the decade. Because nothing about this ride is conventional, the panels were made into bed-sides for this pickup. The original truck cab was sectioned and chopped then fitted with a ’34 Chevy truck cowl. Check out what else was used, where:
- 1959 Oldmobile 371 rocket for powerplant
- ’57 Olds dashboard
- ’64 Riviera steering column
- ’59 Plymouth Aero steering wheel
It’s the ultimate mashup of all our favorites and we have Hot Rod Chassis and Cycle to thank for that.
