Is The Tesla Model S P100D The Quickest Stock Sedan On The Market?

We sure think it is. And as if we needed any, here’s more proof that The Model S P100D with Ludicrous mode is the third fastest accelerating production car ever produced, (only third to the LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder). The Model S P100D has an astonishing 0-60 mph time of ~2.5 seconds. And yes, we’re serious that this pure electric, all-wheel drive model is that quick. DragTimes recently posted a video putting its Ludicrous + mode to the test. The result? Record-setting quarter-mile runs. Introduced with Teslas Software v8.0 release, Ludicrous mode adds acceleration by sacrificing gearbox and battery longevity.

In the video below, DragTimes puts the P100D up against a modified Camaro ZL1 and BMW 550i, and sets a record time of 10.723 seconds at the Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida. Check it out:
