The Blower Bentley Keeps the Sporting Tradition Alive
The Mille Miglia is one of the world’s most historic classic car rallies and Bentley Motors is showing up. Back in the 1920s, the company collected countless wins and trophies courtesy of the ‘Bentley Boys’ racing squad (photo below). Now Bentley will bring two of its famous ‘Blowers’ to the 2014 Mille Miglia reenactment that takes place this week. One of the Blowers is a 1930 classic once owned by Sir Henry ‘Tim’ Birkin (a Bentley Boy). The other is a former demonstration car. Both are highly coveted and could sell for as much as $8.5 million.
