The DMC DeLorean: A Futuristic Icon
The DeLorean may have been the only model ever produced by the DeLorean Motor Company but it’s undeniably iconic. You probably remember it as the car-turned-time-machine from “Back to the Future” nearly 30 years ago. The DeLorean prototype came out in March 1976, and production began in 1981 in Dunmurry, Ireland. Within one year the company produced about 9,200 DeLorean’s and it’s estimated that only 6,500 still exist worldwide.
