The Original Ford SUV: 2017 Expedition
Ford launched the first generation Expedition back in 1997 as the full-size big brother to the Explorer. At the time, both the Expedition and the Explorer were body-on-frame chassis SUV’s. Today, the Expedition is the only one that remains a true SUV while the Explorer has switched to a crossover. The Explorer has been designed on the same platform as an old Volvo sedan, where as the Expedition however, is on the same platform as the previous generation F-150.
Our friends over at CarBuzz were about to test out a fully loaded Expedition Platinum powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 with 365 hp and 420 lb-ft of torque, with a six-speed automatic. Check it out:
