The US-Exclusive C8 Corvette Exhaust
A rumor is going through the mill that the domestic market Corvette Z06 will get an upgrade not available to car lovers across the pond. Mind you, this doesn’t happen very often. Emissions regulations have forced Chevrolet to redesign the exhaust outlet for the car, while the US-spec versions will receive the centrally-mounted quad-exit tailpipes. The main driver? (pun-intended) the exhaust noise. The note from the quad pipes is unbelievable. Additionally, non-US Z06 customers may experience a decrease in performance similar to that in the foreign market Stingrays.
For example, European Corvette Stingrays produce 468 horsepower (495 in the US) and 455 lb-ft of torque (470 lb-ft in the States). We can deduce the Z06 models will have a similar power deficit. Check out the exhaust in detail, right here.
