2019 Camaro ZL1 Gets A 10-Speed Automatic Transmission

Gone will be the days of the all-manual exclusive Camaro ZL1 1LE muscle car. Chevrolet is giving the 2019 model version a 10-speed automatic transmission with standard shift paddles. But don’t be too bummed out, Chevy says that the new transmission set up will allow for quicker lap times. Specifically, the new 10-speed reduces the cars 3 miles lap time by over half a second. Longer tracks, of course, should expect even more time to be shaved off. It’ll cost you, though. The new 10-speed automatic costs an extra $1,595. Is it worth it? Let us know what you think.
