The 2018 Corvette ZR1 Takes A Crack At Nurburgring Record

Well, well, well, what do we have here. The 2018 ZR1 is going for a Nurburgring lap time. And rightfully so, seeing that the model will serve as a sendoff for the C7 and front-engine Corvettes. According to this footage from Automotive Mike, the ZR1 has been practicing its attempt. The 700 hp+ prototype in the video below is shown doing multiple laps.

Here are the current record standings:

1st: The Lamborghini Huracan Performante (6:52.01)

2nd: The Porsche 918 Spyder (6:57:00)

3rd: The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV (6:59.73)

4th: The Nissan GT-R NISMO (7:08.68)
