Beware Silent Cars: Building the Driver’s Rolls-Royce

photography1600_01

Typically when you buy a Rolls-Royce, you hire a professional driver to shuttle you to and from the destinations of your choosing. That’s not the case with the Wraith. The Wraith is a true driver’s car. This new model dawns a re-sculpted front-end with more aggressive air intakes and lower air dam. Sleek chrome accents and a recessed grill change-up the exterior style. For an aggressive look, the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament has been tilted forward by five degrees. In the four-seat cabin, Canadel wood paneling surrounds drum-dyed leather seats. Rolls-Royce even gives the option of a star-filled interior roof; illuminated by 1,340 fiber optic lamps.

This car is all luxury yet built for speed. According to Dr. Philip Harnet (Wraith product manager), this is the “fastest and most powerful Rolls-Royce we’ve ever made”. Power 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds with the Wraith’s 6.6-liter, 624 horsepower, twin turbo-charged V12 engine. With the Wraith’s electronically controlled air suspension, a smooth ride is a definite.
