This Fan-Made Ad Calls Teslas “Spaceships For Earth”

People love the cars so much they’re producing their own advertisements. Tesla doesn’t spend a ton of money on advertising. But if they did, this commercial might just make it on TV and online. This 44-second spot was written and directed by Tim Dodd of Everyday Astronaut, and paints Tesla vehicles as “spaceships for Earth.” The premise of the ad is that simple: driving a Tesla feels like piloting a spaceship. A man in a space suit wakes up and does everyday things like ironing and moving the lawn, then gets in his Tesla Model X and drives away, (we won’t ruin all of the details for you).

The video was submitted for Tesla’s Project Loveday, a video contest inspired by a suggestion from 10-year-old Bria Loveday. Tesla will announce the top 10 winners on June 5th. We’re thinking this one is a pretty strong submission. Check out the video below and let us know what you think.
