Jay Leno Takes A 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge For A Spin
The most recent ride to make an appearance on Jay Leno’s Garage is the truly iconic 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge. This cherry red model is stacked with all sorts of goodies. For example, the mega-size rear wing, hood-mounted tachometer, and ram air hood scoop. The car is owned by Wade Kawasaki, president of Coker Tires. Coker Tires specializes in designing and reproducing classic tires. So, it’s not shocking that his GTO has a set of the company’s Firestone Wide Oval tires. These new tire versions are built like modern radial tires, instead of the slippery bias-ply ones that would’ve come on the car originally. The tires are complimented perfectly with exact replica GTO Judge wheels.
Kawasaki restored the rest of his Judge similar to the way he fixed up the tires. He’s taken the whole vehicle back to factory-spec. It has stock, 400-cubic inch V8 that makes 366 horsepower, and it’s complete with the chrome valve covers and foam intake seal. The car even has the original interior, which we are pleasantly surprised has stayed in perfect condition. To say this ride is factory fresh might even be an understatement. Check out the video for yourself, and see this flashy muscle car that’s been restored to its glory days.
