VIDEO: 1,000-HP Hennessey Hellcat Dyno Testing

We’re wrapping up the week with something special. With all the hype around the Challenger SRT Demon, some of us might’ve forgotten about the all mighty Hellcat. Let us not forget that the Hellcat is still capable of extreme acceleration (all thanks to its supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 that produces an insane 707 hp). The stock version goes 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, and the quarter mile in 11.8. But, there are always buyers that need more. Fortunately for them, now there’s the HPE1000,  a Hennessey Performance tuner with over 1,000 hp.

Let’s talk specifics. Hennessey’s creation churns out a whopping 1,012 hp thanks to a 4.5-liter supercharger that gives out 14 psi of boost pressure. Hennessy is claiming that this upgrade will make the HPE1000 do 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds, and go a quarter-mile in 9.9 seconds. See for yourself…
