Watch The Corvette C8 Z06 Test At The Nurburgring

The rumor mill is swirling with word that the Z06 will use a version of Cadillac’s 4.2-liter hand-built V8 Blackwing engine. While it won’t have the turbochargers, it will have a flat-plane crankshaft, which is why it sounds so different from the standard Corvette. The output of the rumor mill is 616-hp and 9,000 rpm redline. That would make it the world’s most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 engine. See it for yourself, right here.
