2014 Shelby GT500 Super Snake Stops By Jay Leno’s Garage

Actor Jim Caviezel paid a visit to Jay Leno on the most recent episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. He brought with him his 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake. The proud owner has turned the car into a tribute to honor the members of SEAL Team Six aboard Extortion 17. Caviezel was inspired to do this by a novel detailing the experience the SEALs had serving their country. The spear belonging to Chris Kyle sits beneath the hold along with the names of 19 fallen SEAL team members who lost their lives in Extortion 17.

The actor has been heavily involved with the military in the past. After Caviezel helped raise money for soldiers returning home, he wanted to do something more, which is why he teamed up with car designer Chip Foose. Together, they created the Shelby Mustang you see here. In addition to serving as a beacon of remembrance, the car also packs some serious power. The GT500 features a 5.8-liter supercharged V-8 producing 850 horsepower. Other noteworthy specs include “sword-tipped” wheels designed by Foose, wide-body rear fenders, and wheel caps. There is also a special emblem on the rear which incorporates the Extortion 17 trident, a knight’s helmet, and the American flag. You can’t miss this one, watch the episode, right here.
