Introducing The 2018 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet

It’s been 50 years since the original Mustang Cobra Jet was released, all thanks to Ford dealer and racer Bob Tasca. And lucky for us, the good ‘ole Blue Oval has unveiled a 50th anniversary special based on the sixth-gen Mustang. The car packs a 5.2-liter supercharged V-8 and should put up a quarter-mile time of just 8.0 seconds and hit a top speed of 150 mph. Some other noteworthy goodies include a four-link rear suspension, a 9-inch rear axle, a roll cage, Racetech FIA seats, and Weld Racing wheels with 50th anniversary swag. Oh, did we forget to mention that it will be the quickest drag racing Mustang ever?

Pricing starts at a whopping $130,000, which isn’t too surprising since only 68 examples will be built (a nod to the original built in 1968). Customers will choose either Race Red or Oxford White like the original. Check it out, right here.
